STEP 3: COMPLETE A MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION.
The membership application will be due by Sunday, March 2.
STEP 4: PARTICIPATE IN A SCHEDULED MEETING WITH AN ELDER.
The elders review every membership application. Each applicant then meets individually, married couples meet together, with two elders. You will have the opportunity to sign up for a time slot after attending the membership class. During the elder meeting, the applicants are encouraged to ask any questions they may have about GEBC. No decision about membership is made during the meeting. Elders debrief with the entire board before a decision is made. Once a decision is reached concerning your application, the board will extend an invitation for membership by email. These meetings will be held on Sunday mornings March 9 and 16 during the 9:00 and 10:30 a.m. worship services.
STEP 5: BE PRESENTED TO THE CONGREGATION AS A MEMBER.
Upon approval for membership by the Elder Board, new members will be introduced by email to the congregation during the week of March 23.
STEP 6: NEW MEMBERS’ MEET AND GREET
We host a Meet and Greet with staff and elders once a year. All new members and their families will be invited.
