Glen Ellyn Bible Church exists to Help People Follow Jesus and we do this in all seasons and all circumstances. The 2020 COVID pandemic has caused many changes to church ministry, and we've worked to modify our Sunday morning Worship services and all our mid-week programming to be as COVID-Safe as we can.

ONLINE WORSHIP

Every Sunday we offer an online worship experience complete with songs you can sing and a sermon to listen to from the comfort of your home. This online service is released at 6:00am on Sunday mornings, it is pre-recorded and you can watch it anytime. You can head to gebible.org/online to find this service.

INDOOR WORSHIP

For over 7 months we closed our building and did not offer indoor services. Starting November 1 all of our in-person worship services will be indoors. We have some additional safety measures we all must follow to keep everyone safe:

We are:

  1. Requiring registration to ensure we can provide for social distancing in the building.
  2. Thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing before every service.
  3. Offering clear signage and traffic patterns marked to facilitate social distancing.
  4. Spacing out chairs in the worship center to allow for social distancing.
  5. Providing hand sanitizer at every entrance, as well as throughout the facility.

What we are asking you to do to help us in this effort:

  1. If you are feeling sick we ask that you worship online.
  2. If you are immuno-comprised or fall into a higher risk category for contracting COVID-19 we ask that you worship online.
  3. Before arriving at GEBC assess yourself and your family members and self-certify that you are feeling healthy.
  4. Wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth the entire time you are in the building. This is required for everyone 3  years old and older.
  5. Maintain social distance (6 feet) from those outside your immediate family. Please no handshaking, high-fives, fist-bumps or hugs. Remember, while you might feel comfortable with this type of physical touch, others may not. Please do not rearrange chairs in the worship center to be closer to others.
  6. Stay in open and designated areas. The gym, basement and upper level will be closed and we ask that you remain on the main level.

MID-WEEK PROGRAMS

All of our program and ministry options for Fall 2020 can be found here. Programs meeting in the building will follow the procedures outlined above. Most programs will be meeting offsite and in smaller numbers.
