OUR MISSION
Helping People Follow Jesus
The primary purpose of the church is to glorify God by making disciples. This is the single greatest contribution the church can make in this world, and toward that end all of our programming at BBC will be driven by at least one of these four disciple-making activities: proclaiming the gospel, restoring the broken, equipping the believer, and sending out disciples.
Our Vision
In November 2021, the Elders cast a Multi-Campus Ministry vision for Glen Ellyn Bible Church, one church meeting in multiple locations to REACH more people with the Gospel in DuPage County. God answered our prayers as we adopted Bartlett Bible Church (formerly Poplar Creek Church) as our first campus.
What We Believe
1. We believe the Bible is inspired by God and authoritative (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
2. We believe God is One in three, Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19-20)
3. We believe Adam and Eve disobeyed and all are sinful as a result (Romans 5:12; Ephesians 2:1-2).
4. We believe salvation comes through faith in Jesus' life, death and resurrection (Acts 4:12).
5. We believe those trusting in Jesus can be assured of their salvation (1 John 5:11-13).
6. We believe Jesus is building his Church (Matthew 16:8) and it includes all types of people (Revelation 7:9).
7. We believe the Holy Spirit indwells, empowers, guides and gifts those trusting in Jesus (John 14:26; Galatians 5:18).
8. We believe those following Jesus will walk in the light (2 Corinthians 6:17-18, 2 Corinthians 7:1, 1 John 1:6-7)
9. We beleive in Heaven and Hell (John 3:36; Luke 16:22-23).
10. We believe Jesus is returning soon (I Thessalonians 4:16-17).
