ANNUAL VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION PICNIC HOST

CHOIR

We lead the congregation in passionate and authentic worship of Jesus. Our worship choir normally leads once a month. Choir is open to all vocal skill levels. All voices and levels of experience welcome! Open to adults and senior high students.
Commitment: Rehearse 1 Wednesday/month, 6:30-9:30 p.m. & sing 1 Sunday/month, 7:30 a.m.-12:10 p.m.

VOCAL TEAM

We lead the congregation in passionate and authentic worship of Jesus. Our vocal teams lead corporate worship most Sundays and are scheduled on a rotating basis. Vocal team sings on mic, with occasional solos and small group ensembles, and an emphasis on creative expression and technique. Open to adults and senior high students.
Commitment: Rehearsal on Thursdays, 6:30-9:30 p.m. & sing on Sundays, 7:30 a.m.-12:10 p.m.

INSTRUMENTAL TEAM

We are worship leaders adept at expressing our worship through a variety of instruments, especially those associated with a contemporary rhythm section (drums, bass, electric guitar, keyboard, acoustic guitar). Also welcome to string, woodwind, brass and folk instrument players. Rehearsals are usually Thursdays, 7:30 p.m.
Commitment: Rehearsal on Thursdays, 7:30-9:30 p.m. & play on Sundays, 7:15 a.m.-12:10 p.m.

Artists of all types come together using all mediums to effectively and visually express God-s message. Our team creates visual elements to enhance our worship experience; includes print media, fine arts, lighting, computer graphics and stage design/decorating.

TECH CREW

We are artists that love to work behind the scenes setting up and running sound, computer graphics and lights each week. Use your technical knowledge to assist with anything from running a soundboard to graphics/slide projection to lighting. Technical crew serves the congregation at large on Sunday mornings, but also serves individual ministries (i.e. Women-s Ministry) at regular meetings and special events. Training is provided. Open to adults and senior high students.

Communion servers minister to the Body as they distribute the elements during this sacrament. Open to all followers of Christ.

COMMUNION PREPARER

Communion preparers help behind the scenes as they prepare and clean up the elements. For one person, preparation usually takes 1 hour and includes breaking Matzo into bite-size pieces and filling cups with grape juice. Clean up takes 2 hours and includes discarding unused elements and washing trays.
Commitment: 1 Friday morning/month

WORSHIP IN THE PARK

This annual event occurs on the 2nd Sunday in June in lieu of our regular Sunday morning services. Great numbers of volunteers of all ages are needed to facilitate this outdoor worship and baptism celebration at Lake Ellyn Park.

Every year we show our volunteers and their families how much we appreciate their participation in worship ministries with a picnic. This is a time to show appreciation, grow in fellowship and community, celebrate the past ministry year and anticipate the coming ministry year. Hosts provide the space for up to 100 people, we provide the rest!
