CROSSROADS YOUTH GROUP - begins September 12!

We begin in the gym to play games and just have fun together. We then move upstairs to the Student Ministry room to learn more about our relationship with Christ. We finish in small groups where we can discuss how the message applies to our lives. Come and invite your friends!

Weather permitting we will meet at the Fletchers’ (3N124 Churchill Ct., West Chicago) for a time to hang out, enjoy some snacks, and kick off the year with a surprise! Bring food to share! Guys are asked to bring salty snacks (Doritos, pretzels, etc.) and girls sweet treats (cookies, brownies, etc.). Be sure to invite your friends and come and find out what we have in store for the year!
SECOND ANNUAL LEADER HUNT @ YORKTOWN MALL

Come and see how many of our adult leaders and other familiar faces you can find at the mall on a busy Saturday afternoon. Oh, did we mention that they will be disguised?!? Bring your friends, some money for lunch afterwards, and let’s find out who is the best at finding some costumed adults!
“ONE MEAL DAY” CHALLENGE

Are you willing to take the “One Meal Day” challenge? Millions of children go hungry each day across the world. You can make a difference by skipping one meal, inviting your friends and family to do the same, and donating what you would have spent for that meal to Compassion International’s Global Food Crisis.
COMMUNITY CLEAN UP
Saturday, October 30 @ 10:00 a.m.-noon
Join us as we go out to serve those in need throughout your community. Last year we raked leaves at a few houses. This year we may rake leaves again, and possibly add a few other projects. This is a great opportunity to show the love of Jesus through our time and actions to people who need some help!

It’s not too early to get your boots and snowsuit out of the closet- February is right around the corner. Parents and students are to come to the Student Ministry Room to find out about the exciting plans we have for both our Winter and Summer camps in 2011! You will be able to register for the trips at the meeting.

Here we go, round two of the ultimate ugliest Christmas sweater contest! That means it’s time to hit Goodwill, garage sales, or raid your parents closet to find the most hideous Christmas sweater you can find! We have prizes for the ugliest sweaters and will have plenty of food and fun to celebrate Christmas together at Crossroads. This is a great event to invite your friends to!!!
