Worship
Worship is simply defined as a "response to God." This is not a response that is limited to an expression on Sunday morning, but rather an ongoing lifestyle that seeks to respond honestly as our lives unfold daily before Him. This is what it means to worship Him in "spirit and truth." We also realize that the best worshippers are those who are aware of their own brokenness. We have many places to serve in worship here at GEBC.

Choir / Vocals (Ongoing)
We lead the congregation in passionate and authentic worship of Jesus. Our vocal teams lead corporate worhsip most Sundays, and the worship choir normally leads onece a month.

Footprints Dance Ministry (Ongoing)
This ministry incorporates all forms of movement into our worship experience. All ages and abilities are welcome.

Visual Arts Team (Ongoing)
We create visual elements to enhance our worship experience; including print media, fine arts, lighting, computer graphics and stage design.

We use dramatized narratives, dialogue and humor to present biblical truths in a thought-provoking and inspiring manner. Both actors and directors are encouraged to get involved.

We are worship leaders adept at expressing our worship through a variety of instruments, especially those associated with a contemporary rhythm section.

We are artists who love to work behind the scenes setting up and runnning the sound console, computer graphics and lights each week.

Songwriters (Ongoing)
We are songwriters who gather to show our works in progress, receive critique, and inspire each other. We collaborate and pray with each other to further our songwriting abilities.

Sound Bites Hospitality (Ongoing)
We support the musicians, artists and technical crew of the worship ministry. Team members serve snacks and beverages for regular Sunday and special holiday services.

Worship in the Park (June 8, 2008)
Join us at Lake Ellyn for an outdoor ministry celebration/worship concert. This event occurs on a Sunday, in lieu of our regular services, and includes celebration, testimonies, great music and fun in the sun.

Communion Serving / Preparing (Ongoing)
Communion servers minister to the Body as they distribute the elements during this sacrament. Communion preparers help behind the scenes as they prepare and clean up the elements. This is a monthly commitment.

Photographers/Videographers (Ongoing)
We use our skills to provide photos and videos for GEBC publications and media presentations, and document ministry events and other projects.
