All students grades 6-12 are invited to join us, whether you go to Glen Ellyn Bible Church or not. Our goals are to have fun together, get to know each other well and help one another grow in our faith in Jesus Christ. This is a place to make great friends, do fun stuff and be challenged in your faith. Come drop into to any program and check us out, chances are we’ll probably be eating pizza and drinking soda when you show up!
A very important team of people in the Student Ministries programs are the adult volunteers giving of their time weekly. If you are interested in investing in the lives of our students, then we are interested in finding a place for you. Contact Dave Schubert or Patrick Greer if you are interested in learning more about the many possibilities of serving with our students.

Crossroads (September 9, 2007 - June 1, 2008)
Sundays, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Every Sunday evening, all middle school students meet at the church for fun and teaching. Each Sunday night at Crossroads we spend time playing games, building relationships, learning from God's Word and exploring the lesson further in small groups. Adult volunteers lead our small groups so students can connect with other Christ-followers who care about their growth in the Lord. Visitors are always welcome!

Junior High Sunday School (September 9, 2007 - June 1, 2008)
Sundays, 9:50-10:50 a.m.
Come join us Sunday mornings as we dive into God's word and apply its truths to our lives. We meet upstairs in the Student Ministry room for Bible study, small group discussion and getting to know each other. Visitors are welcome anytime!

These 7th and 8th grade students learn leadership principles and are given the opportunity for real leadership experience. Students will be challenged as their leadership potential is stretched through leading in different areas of the Jr. High ministry.

Outings (Monthly)
Each month, our group does fun activities to get to know one another better and introduce friends to the church. These activities include laser tag, Great America, capture-the-flag nite, concerts and many others! Click the calendar at the top of this page to find this month's activity.
Junior High Winter Retreat (January 18-20, 2008)

Middle school students go on a winter retreat to Timber-lee Camp in Wisconsin for a weekend of fun and Bible discovery.
Junior High Summer Camp (July 20-25, 2008)
Our students escape the busy, suburban life and spend a week away from the distractions of the world to focus on God and His plan for their lives. These trips prove to be some of the greatest spiritual growth in students' lives.

Summit (September - May)
Wednesdays, 7:00 to 8:45 p.m.
Are you tired of just sitting at home staring at the TV every Wednesday night? Whether your answer is YES or NO...it doesn't really matter because Summit is where you need to be! Summit is a large gathering of Senior High students from all over the surrounding area. Invite friends, meet new students, hang out with old ones, throw balls at each other, worship together, hear relevant teachings from the Bible, learn of God's love and plan for you and grab some food while you are at it! It's a night that you don't want to miss!

Senior High Sunday Morning Discussions (September - May)
Sundays, 11:10 a.m.
Who says church has to be boring?!? Join us every Sunday morning for a time of refueling as we dig into God's Truth and discuss how it applies to our lives. Meet us in the Student Ministry room to laugh some, learn some and connect some. Class meets every Sunday morning from 11:10 a.m.-12:10 p.m. during the school year. B.Y.O.B. (Bring Your Own Bible...or we'll get you one if you need it).

Senior High Student Leadership Team (September - May)
1st Sunday of each month, 8:30-9:30 a.m.
This group of students helps lead and direct the Senior High Ministry while growing their own leadership abilities.

Senior High Small Groups (September - May)
Sunday evenings, 7:00-8:30 p.m.
Looking for a place to get connected? Want to meet new friends from your neighborhood or high school? Are you looking for a safe place to find encouragement and hope in order to get through the junk that life sometimes throws your way?
If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, then SMALL GROUPS are the place for you! Small Groups are designed to link you up with other students who what to grow closer with God. It's a great place to connect with others, talk about God's Word, get your questions answered, have fun and learn truth that will equip you for living life well.
Small groups begin in September and run through May. These same-sex groups meet every Sunday night (for the most part) from 7:00-8:30 p.m. in homes around the community. Each group consists of 6-8 students and 2 adult leaders. If you want to get plugged into a small group, contact Dave (dschubert@gebible.org or 630.469.2964 x31) and he'll hook you up!

Senior High Worship Team (September - May)
Wednesdays, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
This group leads the high school worship during Summit Wednesday evenings and special events. They practice on Sundays at 12:30 p.m.

Senior High Retreats / Missions (January 18-21, 2008 & Summer)

We take a weekend retreat in January and usually take a fun retreat in the summer. Past trips have included a week in Arkansas on 15-person houseboats to backpacking in West Virginia. Each summer we take a short-term mission trip as well. Past mission trips have gone to West Virginia, Chicago, New York City, Arizona, Mexico, Spain and Dominican Republic.
Senior High Outings (Monthly)
Each month we have a fun activity intended to give students a chance to get to know one another better. Click the calendar at the top of this page to find this month's activity.
Senior High Service Projects (Monthly)
Throughout the year our students have opportunities to serve through various service projects. In the past, we have made trips to local nursing homes and homeless missions. These trips are primarily carried out through small groups, as each group is responsible for 2 service projects a semester.

ParentLife (October — April)
1st Tuesday of the month
Parents of Senior High students gather together at a host home to discuss parenting issues, pray for each other and socialize. All Senior High parents are welcome.
College Ministry

We are kicking off a new ministry to connect college students at GEBC. Watch the bulletin, e-newsletter and On Target publications for more details.
