The church is not a place, name, building, or program. It is people. Yet in a church our size, it's possible to attend regularly on Sunday mornings and still never really connect with anyone in a meaningful relationship. Sharing a pew with someone for an hour and exchanging pleasantries will not create the fellowship God longs for each of us to experience. But you don't need to be just another face in the crowd. If you want to meet people and grow in your relationship with God, we believe being a part of a small group is the best place for you.

What is a small group?
Small groups are simply leader-led, inviting, and multigenerational groups of people who meet weekly to encourage one another and grow in devotion to Jesus. By joining a group, members commit to their own spiritual growth and to investing in other members' growth. We have different types of groups - mixed, men's, and women's - but all include study, prayer, and opportunities to live out our faith.

Here are two questions to help you decide which group to join:

• Which ones will work with your schedule?
• Of those, which is closest to your house?
  (It creates a sense of community to be in relationship with those whom you live close to.)
