Dear GEBC Family: Are you equipped to SERVE? How has God uniquely gifted you for service, what is his call upon your life for service and how can you answer that call? These are just a few of the questions we want to help you answer this fall. The Apostle Paul wrote that:
EQUIPPING means helping others serve fruitfully and live obediently, in order to bring glory to God and experience the blessings of spiritual maturity. Toward that end, we kicked off the new ministry year last Sunday (09/11/11) by launching the SERVE initiative, which is the second of our six equipping initiatives. Service is important in the life of a Christian because:
We realize that we are all at different places in the process of discipleship, some of us already knowing our gifts and are serving faithfully, while others of us completely unaware of God’s gifts and/or call upon our lives. For that reason, we are providing three different levels of activities, depending upon one’s spiritual maturity. Click on the links to the different maturity levels to the right to see a list of the corresponding activities, and ask God to help you identify the activities that will best help you grow in the area of service. Also, below is a list of activities for all levels. This coming Sunday morning (09/18/11), we will further explain each of these activities and ask you to select the ones that best fit your needs.
