Kristen joined the staff as the Children’s Ministries Director in August 2008. Kristen was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs. She graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2000 with a B.A. in Media Communications. She has over 7 years of experience working with children and youth, and she is passionate about discipling kids and challenging them to grow deeper in their relationship with Christ. Kristen enjoys spending her free time in the outdoors, traveling to new cities, and hanging out with her friends and family.

Connie Brossard, Children's Ministries Assistant Director

Connie Brossard began serving at GEBC as Children’s Ministry Assistant Director September 2011. She grew up on a farm outsie of Wichita, Kansas, and has a B.S. in Elementary Education from Northern Illinois University. Connie previously served in Children's Ministries on staff at a church in Florida, and has been very involved in Children's Ministries at GEBC. Connie has a passion for showing kids how Jesus is relevant to every aspect of their lives. She, her husband, Joe, and their four boys, live in Wheaton. As a family, they enjoy lots of sports. Connie also enjoys long walks with Joe, running and baking.

Bonnie Skala, Children's Ministry Assistant

Bonnie joined the GEBC staff in September 2001. She provides support to the Children's Ministry Directors as Administrative Assistant. Bonnie and her husband, Lance live in Glen Ellyn with their three sons, Eric, Glenn and Luke. Apart from enjoying her role as mom, she loves to travel (especially to the family cabin in the woods in the U.P. of Michigan) and gardening. She is a Glen Ellyn native and has always made her home in the western suburbs.
