Connie Brossard, Children's Ministries Assistant Director

Connie Brossard began serving at GEBC as Children’s Ministry Assistant Director September 2011. She grew up on a farm outsie of Wichita, Kansas, and has a B.S. in Elementary Education from Northern Illinois University. Connie previously served in Children's Ministries on staff at a church in Florida, and has been very involved in Children's Ministries at GEBC. Connie has a passion for showing kids how Jesus is relevant to every aspect of their lives. She, her husband, Joe, and their four boys, live in Wheaton. As a family, they enjoy lots of sports. Connie also enjoys long walks with Joe, running and baking.

Scott joined the GEBC staff full-time in December of 2005 after serving in a part-time capacity for several years. Born and raised in Madison, WI, he attended Moody Bible Institute, where he completed his B.A. in Broadcast Communication in 1995. Upon graduation, he served 10 years at Moody as an Event Producer before moving to GEBC. Scott and his wife Ann have two boys, Jordan and Jonathan, who keep life busy and enjoyable. Scott enjoys spending his free time participating in and watching sports, as well as enjoying music, art and reading.

Kristen joined the staff as the Children’s Ministries Director in August 2008. Kristen was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs. She graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2000 with a B.A. in Media Communications. Upon graduation, Kristen has worked alongside children/youth in a group home for troubled girls as well as on staff at a previous church with children’s ministry. Kristen is passionate about discipling kids and challenging them to grow deeper in their relationship with Christ. She enjoys spending her free time in the outdoors (especially when it’s hot!), traveling to new cities, and hanging out with her friends and family.
Dan joined the GEBC staff as the Junior High Director in September 2009. He was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago. He graduated in 2004 from Judson College with a degree in Youth Ministry/Adolescent Studies. Judson is also a special place as it is where he met his wife Holly.
n October 2010, Dan and Holly became the proud parents of triplets: Madison, Josiah, and Jackson!
Dan is passionate about helping students know Jesus, walk with Jesus, and become more like Jesus. Dan and Holly have served in student ministry for awhile now, and also have a big heart for missions work. He loves baseball (especially the Cubs), the Dominican Republic, warm weather, his dog Dixie, and “a good Chicago Style Hot Dog”!
Jason, who was born and raised in Glen Ellyn, joined the GEBC staff in 2002 after having worked at Willow Creek Community Church for eight years as Associate Music Director. Jason and his wife Kim, are always strategizing ways to spend as much time with each other as well as their 3 kids, Jonah, Molly and Claire. Jason also loves to spend what he has of his personal time on the diamond strategizing ways to strike out opposing batters.
Kirk joined the GEBC Staff as Senior High Director in September 2011. He was born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina. He graduated in 2006 from Anderson University (SC) with a degree in Christian Ministries. In 2008, after spending a couple of years in Youth Ministry on the coast of North Carolina, he fell in love with his boss (Jessica Gaylord) while serving with Youthworks in West Virginia. Kirk and Jessica were married in the summer of 2009 at GEBC. In February of 2011, Kirk and Jessica became the proud parents of a beautiful little girl, Riley. Kirk and Jessica have both been involved in youth ministry for many years and also have huge hearts for missions. Kirk has a huge desire to see student grow in their faith and be the church of today, not tomorrow. Kirk is an avid fan of the South Carolina Gamecocks, Chicago Cubs, and the Chicago Bears. Also, you will hardly find him without a Dr. Pepper or Starbucks Coffee in his hand.
