Mark joined the staff in January of 2007 as our Facilities Manager and oversees the buildings and grounds here at GEBC. He is accomplished in residential and commercial construction/renovation and is a licensed Illinois Inspector. Mark has been attending GEBC for several years now and is very excited to be serving the great folks he both works and worships with. After living in Raleigh, North Carolina for a number of years with his wife Lisa, he returned home so that he could be closer to family. Mark lives in Glen Ellyn and most of all enjoys spending time with his wife and three beautiful children, Nicole, Evan and Peter. His hobbies include camping, woodworking and tinkering around with things out in his garage.
Carol Getz, Student Ministries Assistant

Carol has worked in several GEBC ministries since joining the staff in 2001. She currently provides support to the Student Ministries department. Originally from northern California, Carol graduated from Gordon College in Massachusetts and moved to Wheaton in 1991 and began attending GEBC where she found several other Gordon College grads calling GEBC their church home. Carol enjoys being a mother to her teenager daughter, Delaney, and in her free time loves to ski, knit and visit her family in sunny California.
Michael joined the GEBC Worship Ministry as the A/V Technical Assistant in 2007. Mike is responsible for the set up and tear down of the AV setup each week, as well as general maintenance of the audio, video and lighting systems. He has attended GEBC since 1992 and has been involved in Worship Ministries for most of that time. Mike lives in Wheaton with his wife Amy and his 2 year old daughter Meiying.
Marsha is the Business Administrator at GEBC. She joined the staff in April 2003 and oversees the business operations. She has a Business Management degree from Northern Illinois University. Marsha grew up in La Grange, Illinois and was the Hostess Chairman for the Hinsdale Christian Women's Club. She moved to Wheaton in 1993 where she enjoys spending time with her husband Gary, four children and five precious granddaughters. According to Marsha, "The best part of my job is the people. GEBC is like one big family. I feel truly blessed that God has brought me to GEBC."
Bonnie Skala, Children's Ministry Assistant

Bonnie joined the GEBC staff in September 2001. She provides support to the Children's Ministry Directors as Administrative Assistant. Bonnie and her husband, Lance live in Glen Ellyn with their three sons, Eric, Glenn and Luke. Apart from enjoying her role as mom, she loves to travel (especially to the family cabin in the woods in the U.P. of Michigan) and gardening. She is a Glen Ellyn native and has always made her home in the western suburbs.
Kara smith, communications coordinator/worship ministries assistant/ receptionist

Kara Smith began serving as GEBC's Communications Coordinator in July 2008, became the Worship Ministries Assistant in July 2009, and in February 2010 she also added the job as receptionist. Kara grew up in Wheaton, Illinois and graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with a degree in photography. Kara and her husband, Nick, now live in Carol Stream. She is passionate about communicating truth through art. Besides serving at GEBC, Kara also works as a freelance photographer and authors a blog.

Audrey began working at GEBC in 2008 in the Adult Ministries department. Soon after beginning at GEBC, Audrey also began supporting Outreach and Restoring Ministries. Audrey graduated from Wheaton College in May of 2008 with a B.A. in Psychology. She lives in Wheaton with her husband Wes and 6 month old daughter Elsie. Audrey loves to read, cook, and spend time with family and friends.
