Elders

GEBC is led by a board of eight lay elders (elected by the congregation, being eligible for four consecutive, one-year terms) and the senior pastor (who also serves as an elder), who meet about two times per month.

Candidates for the office of elder are nominated by a nominating team composed of three elders and three members of the church at large. The candidates, as well as the existing elders, are confirmed by the entire congregation in May for the coming year of service.
